How do I install the body kit?
Although it is possible to install yourself, it is recommended that the body kit is installed by a professional. The kit is mounted using both 3M tape and new screws on the underside. For the diffuser installation, the original rear bumper must be removed, and existing screws can be used. All other parts can be installed directly. The installation requires drilling of new holes to ensure kit is mounted securely and stays on for years to come.
How long does the installation take?
The installation can take approximately 2 hours if you are experienced. Please consult with a body shop if you’re not familiar with the full installation process.
Can you still access the tow hitch?
No, if you have the optional tow hitch package, the access is not supported by the diffuser. If you are towing your Model Y itself, the access to the chassis is still available.
